Senior Ambassadors

The Senior Ambassadors is a male chorus which was begun more than 30 years ago by a group of Winter Texans. The goal of the organization is to provide fun, camaraderie, and a source of pride in participation for our members and an excellent performance for each of our audiences. Our chorus sings all sorts of choral music including barbershop, gospel, show tunes, barbershop (although we are not an exclusively barbershop chorus), and whatever else our Director picks out for us. Our Director is Virgel Kroeker, a winter Texan and retired vocal music teacher. We are indeed blessed to have him as our leader! We are excited about singing for him, even in rehearsals! The quality of our performances has improved dramatically under his direction. We rehearse each Friday afternoon at the Bentsen Grove Resort, on Bentsen Palm Drive in Mission from mid-November thru mid-March. We are non-profit, and the donations we receive (after expenses and equipment) will all go for a scholarship in the Vocal Music Department at University of Texas – Pan Am.
