The Punches Family

The Punches will be back in the Rio Grande Valley entertaining Winter Texans with rock n roll oldies from the 50s and 60s. Performing old favorites like Da Doo Run Run, Great Balls of Fire, and The Twist as well as classic country hits such as Tennessee Waltz and Delta Dawn the Punches Family will bring back memories and fun with their lively performances.Because The Punches are also known for their bluegrass and gospel performances, each show will include several of the songs for which the family is known in other areas. The Punches Family has been featured on Great American Gospel Show, which plays on over 200 stations across America and many countries around the world.The family resides in Fredericktown, Mo, which is in the foothills of the Ozark Mountains. However, they have been performing in churches, festivals, fairs and special shows across the country since 2009.Both parents play musical instruments and sing. Bobette (Mom) grew up in a musical family of seven children while Bruce (Dad) was an only child who started to play when he was 13.Emily, one of the twins who are now 15 years old, started playing fiddle at 7. She has developed a rich voice and carries many of the high harmony in their music. She also often sings lead.Brook, the second twin, has been playing steel guitar and dobro since age 9 and sings most of the lead.
