The Welcome Home Entertainer Showcase brings Activity Directors and entertainers together for a full day of live performances, networking and booking opportunities. Each entertainer gets just nine minutes on stage, giving you a quick way to experience their style, energy and personality before deciding whether they may be right for your park.
For Activity Directors
A Full Day of Entertainment — and Content for Your Calendar
The Entertainer Showcase is designed to help Activity Directors discover entertainment for dances, shows, happy hours and special events.
Each performer receives nine minutes on stage, giving you a chance to sample a wide variety of entertainers throughout the day. You may already recognize some familiar favorites, but we strongly encourage you to stay for the entire Showcase. You never know which performer may become the next big hit with your residents.
We do not publish the performance schedule in advance. This keeps the Showcase fair for every entertainer and gives each performer the opportunity to be seen by a full audience.
Tickets for Activity Directors
Welcome Home member parks may reserve up to six complimentary tickets.
Non-member parks may purchase up to four tickets for $10 each.
Tickets must be reserved in advance and picked up at the Connection Fair.
Tickets are transferable within your park. If one person cannot attend both days, their badge may be given to another staff member or volunteer from the same community for the following day.

Ready to Book Someone You See?
If an entertainer catches your attention, you do not have to wait!
A booking room is located just outside the ballroom, giving Activity Directors and entertainers a place to secure dates during the Showcase.
We recommend bringing your park calendar with you. If you find an entertainer you would like to book, secure the date first and take care of contracts and detailed paperwork later. It keeps the booking process moving and gives you more time to see the rest of the Showcase.

Meet the Entertainers
Entertainers may participate in a shared information table throughout the Showcase, giving you another opportunity to ask questions, pick up information and connect with performers you may be considering for your community.
Showcase + Winter Texan Expo
The Entertainer Showcase takes place in conjunction with the Winter Texan Expo, held in the same building.
We schedule a longer lunch break so Activity Directors have time to walk through the Expo, visit exhibitors and grab a quick bite from the concessions before returning to the ballroom for the afternoon performances.

What to Bring
Your park calendar, something to take notes with and a sweater or light jacket. The ballroom is often very cool.
Overnight Accommodations
We arrange group rates with area hotels for Activity Directors who would like to stay overnight and avoid the drive home between Showcase days. Hotel information will be shared as it becomes available.

Interested in Performing at the Showcase?
The Welcome Home Entertainer Showcase gives performers the opportunity to take the stage in front of Activity Directors from communities throughout the Rio Grande Valley.
Entertainers receive a nine-minute performance slot and may also participate in the shared entertainer information area throughout the Showcase.
