What Is Activity Director Boot Camp?
Activity Director Boot Camp brings Rio Grande Valley Activity Directors together for three days of learning, networking and exploring the people and places that help make our communities special.
Whether you are brand new to the job or have been planning activities for years, Boot Camp is an opportunity to meet other Activity Directors, share ideas, learn from one another and discover resources you can use throughout the season.
New Activity Directors are especially encouraged to attend. Boot Camp is one of the easiest ways to quickly meet other directors, learn how things work throughout the Valley and build a network of people you can call when you have questions.
More Than a Meeting
Boot Camp takes Activity Directors beyond the conference room. Past Boot Camps have included behind-the-scenes tours, local attractions, dining experiences and plenty of opportunities to learn from one another.

Tuesday, November 17
10:00 AM–12:00 PM — Registration
1:00–1:45 PM — Session 1
2:00–2:45 PM — Session 2
3:00–3:45 PM — Session 3
4:00–4:45 PM — Session 4
5:30/6:00 PM — Group Dinner – Included with your Boot Camp registration.
Wednesday, November 18
8:00–9:00 AM — Social Hour
9:00–9:45 AM — Session 1
10:00–10:45 AM — Session 2
11:00–11:45 AM — Session 3
12:00 PM — Lunch at LandShark
Lunch will be available for $20 per person, cash only. Payment and lunch selection will be collected Tuesday at registration.
1:00–1:45 PM — Session 4
2:00–2:45 PM — Session 5
3:00–3:45 PM — Session 6
4:00–4:45 PM — Session 7
5:30 PM — Sunset Cruise with Breakaway Cruises – Included with your Boot Camp registration.
