      Show Dates & Times

      • Exhibitor Move-In: Monday, January 15, from 1:00 – 6:00 pm.
      • Show dates: Tuesday, January 16, and Wednesday, January 17, from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm.
      • Exhibitor Move-Out: Wednesday, January 17, from 3:15 – 6:00 pm.


      Entering the Convention Center

      • All vendors need to enter through the north loading dock daily. The front entrance doors are only unlocked during show hours.
      • Please check in at the registration booth by the loading doors. You can pick up your badges when you check in and keep them in your booth. 10′ x 10′ booths get 4 badges and 10′ x 20′ booths get 6 badges.
      • Once you have unloaded, you must move your car to the regular parking lot. There is no parking allowed in the loading dock area.

      Event Decorator and Shipping Information

      Convention and Expo Management Services (CEMS) is our decorator for this event.       If you need electricity for your booth, you can pre-order it below.


      Door Prizes

      We ask that each exhibitor bring at least one door prize. You can drop off your door prizes at the vendor registration desk. Products, gift certificates and branded promotional products are perfect!


      Games

      Have a game to play? Winter Texans love them! However, long lines create traffic jams, so please let us know so that we can allow for lines to avoid any congestion.


      Health Screenings

      Winter Texans love screenings, and often ask in advance so if you plan to do any kind of health screening, let us know ahead of time! Note: Screenings that require fasting are not allowed.


      Number of Attendees

      We average 9,000+ attendees at this event. Make sure you have enough giveaways and marketing materials!

      Samples & Food Promotion

      If you plan to give away food or beverages, make sure to read the convention center rules below to ensure that you won’t have problems during the event.

      • You must obtain a permit from the McAllen Health Department, (956) 681-1900.
      • Bring two (2) copies of your permit from the McAllen Health Department, which will help ensure that an officer from the Health Department does not disrupt your show.
        • Leave one with us at registration.
        • Keep one at your booth, prominently displayed.

      McAllen Convention Center Rules

      Please read carefully. 

      • No outside food or beverages for personal consumption are allowed in the building.
      • Holes may not be drilled, cored, or punched in the building.
      • Helium-filled balloons are not permitted in the facility.
      • No adhesive-backed (stick-on) decals or similar items may be distributed or used in the building.
      • Parking on loading docks is permitted for loading and unloading only. All other parking is prohibited; violators will be towed at their expense.
      • Decorations, signs, banners, etc., may not be taped, nailed, tacked, stapled, or otherwise fastened to ceiling, walls, doors, painted surfaces, or columns.
      • No carts, hand trucks, etc., with hard wheels, are permitted on carpeted surfaces.
      • Animals are not permitted in the building without prior approval from the Director. All events exhibiting ANY animals must obtain a permit from the City of McAllen’s Animal Control Division.
      • No evergreen plants will be permitted.
      • Combustion engines may not be operated on the exhibit floor as part of an exhibit.
      • No vehicles may be driven in the facility without prior approval from the McAllen Convention Center Director.
      • Any vehicle on the show floor must have battery cables disconnected and have no more than one-quarter (1/4) or five (5) gallons of gasoline in the tank. All gas caps must be taped. See Vehicle Demo for more restrictions.
      • Propane tanks may not exceed five (5) lbs. LPG capacity and require Fire Marshall approval.
      • All draping materials, etc., must be flame retardant.
      • All planting, fountains, etc., should have waterproof plastic materials underneath.
      • All sales of food items must be reviewed and approved by the McAllen Convention Center Director.
      • No paint or tape should remain on the show floor or walls of the facility after move-out is completed. Proper precautions should be taken to prevent damage to floor and wall surfaces.
      • The McAllen Convention Center is not responsible for the cleaning of exhibit booths.
