SOUTH PADRE ISLAND, TX , January 4, 2024 – Visit South Padre Island is thrilled to announce the return of Pickleball on Padre, set to take place January 8-12, 2024, at the South Padre Island Convention Center. This exciting event is open to all ages and skill levels, offering a fantastic opportunity for locals and visitors to enjoy a fun-filled week of pickleball action in the beautiful coastal setting of South Padre Island.

We welcome pickleball enthusiasts of all ages to come and enjoy this fantastic event and experience the unparalleled beauty of our island while you’re at it.”
Pickleball is a fast-growing and immensely popular sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and ping pong. It’s an ideal activity for all skill levels, from beginners to seasoned players, making it an inclusive and engaging sport for all ages. Pickleball on Padre will kick off on Monday, January 8, 2024, and wrap on Friday, January 12, 2024. The event schedule will run from 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. each day and includes ample time for warm-ups, group lessons, and open play. John Raschillia, a certified instructor by the Pickleball Coaching International, Dynamite Doubles, and IPTPA organizations, will provide all lessons. Lessons will cover tactics, skills, and drills, ensuring players of all levels can improve their game and have a great time on the courts. What’s even more exciting is that participation in this event is entirely free! All necessary equipment, including paddles and balls, is on a first-come, first-served basis. This means everyone has an equal opportunity to join in the fun and experience the thrill of pickleball in this breathtaking island setting.
