Showcase Dates: January 9th and January 10th, 2024
The Entertainer Showcase will be held at the Harlingen Municipal Auditorium/Casa de Amistad, 1204 Fair Park Blvd. Harlingen, Texas. The doors will open at 8:00 a.m. If you have large instruments, please have them on stage by 8:30 a.m. Showcase hours are from 9 am – 4 pm.

Looking for a place to stay? Here are a few options:
- Tropic Winds RV Resort in Harlingen has discounted RV rates available for you. Their regular daily rate is $58.00 and they are offering a 50% discount for you of $29.00 a day, and it is all-inclusive. Their RV sites have full hook-ups and are 40’X50′ back-ins, 50 amp electric, water, sewer, trash, and cable TV. Here is a link with more information.

Tables for Entertainers
You are welcome to attend the showcase on both days. On the day you perform, you will be given half of an 8-foot table to set up for the day, perform, and use the booking room. The day you are not performing, you will be offered half an 8-foot table to set up and talk with activity directors, meet other entertainers, or sit in and enjoy the showcase.
Arrival & Parking
Please enter through the back of the auditorium. We will have signage up, and I will attach a map marked where to enter and the best place to park. We ask that you only park at the back entrance door to unload and then move your vehicle to the parking lot. The weather in South Texas is unpredictable, so we suggest you come in comfortable clothes to unpack. We have dressing rooms for you to change in for your performance. You will need to check in backstage, and we will have escorts to take you to set up your table for the day.
Timeslot
Time slot reminders will be sent before the Showcase. We had to adjust the schedule so bands aren’t being set up back to back. When you get your time slot, DO NOT switch with other entertainers. We print programs and have our introduction cards in order, and any switching will make for total confusion.
Showtime
You will be called backstage 30 minutes before your performance to get ready and then taken backstage two acts before your time slot to start getting your instruments ready. We ask that only those performing go backstage due to space and noise control. You must be on deck 15 minutes before your time slot. If you are late for your time slot, you will be put on at the tail end of the showcase. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Please be neat and clean. Dress for success. Keep talking to a minimum and use your 9 minutes wisely to sell your performance. Remember that you only have 9 minutes to perform when you are preparing your act. We will have someone in the the audience who will give you a 1 minute warning and then a stop sign. We must stay on schedule to avoid throwing the entire day off. Once you are done performing, you will be taken to the booking room and have the opportunity to book for this season or next season. When you are finished in the booking room, you can return to your table, where activity directors will be allowed to go in and out during the day to meet you and still have the opportunity to book you there.

We do not post the Entertainer Showcase schedule to protect all the performers. We want to keep an element of surprise so that Activity Directors will stay for the duration of the show. If you would like to see who’s performing, you can view the alphabetical list here.
Advertising, Banners, and SWAG
If you are interested in reserving a display ad in the Welcome Home Winter Texan weekly newspaper, please let me know, and we can take care of you. We have an in-house promotional division, so if you need to up your game with banners, displays, t-shirts, or hats, please let us quote that for you.
General Admission Tickets

Things to do if you haven’t already
Complete your bio
If you haven’t already, please complete a bio for our website. It’s free! We will not be publishing a print directory this year. We will tag each performer for the 2024 Showcase so activity directors can easily refer to your contact information. You can include your bio, contact information, promotional photo, and a video link (YouTube or Vimeo). You can add the time of year that you are available, and also indicate what type of music/act you have. Also, since you are creating it, you can update it at any time. Advice from Activity Directors
- Play a variety, and do snippets rather than the entire song to maximize your time.
- Dress like you are coming to their park! 
- Utilize your 9 minutes wisely. Don’t talk about how great you are, prove it by your performance.
- Sometimes bigger isn’t always better. You’d be surprised at the audience a small park can generate.
