Ride the Wave Motorcycle Rally: A New RGV Tradition

Calling all riders–and motorcycle enthusiasts. There’s a new motorcycle rally coming to the Rio Grande Valley: Ride the Wave. Hosted by Welcome Home RGV, the first annual event will take place February 24-25, 2024, and is specifically geared–no pun intended–for Winter Texans (but all riders are welcome).
The ride will start in Mission on the 24th, with stops in Weslaco and Harlingen, and will end at noon at South Padre Island’s Beach Park. Riders will have the opportunity to experience the best of the Rio Grande Valley, from its lush farmland and iconic landmarks like the Basilica of San Juan to its stunning bay-to-beach views.
The rally at Beach Park will feature a variety of entertainment, vendors, food, exhibitions, and contests, as well as a custom bike show.
Announcements will be forthcoming as details are finalized regarding pick-up spots and the entertainment line-up. Participants will be able to plan the entire adventure via welcomehomergv.com, including ticketing, hotel accommodations, and activities.
Non-riders are invited to take part, as well. Welcome Home RGV is crafting special tour opportunities, along with hotel packages. As a bonus, South Padre Island’s Market Days will be taking place February 23 – 25 at the South Padre Island Convention Center.
